O’s Notes: Bassist Michael Blanco leads a quintet of fine musicians to perform nine original compositions. John Ellis plays sax with Jonathan Kreisberg (g), David Cook (p) and drummer Mark Ferber. This is his second release as a leader and the New York based musician continues to show good promise. Songs like “RSVP” and the solo” Postcard” stand out in a well-balanced set.
