O’s Notes: Norwegian tenor saxophonist Karl Seglem assembles a quartet with Andreas Ulvo (p), Sigurd Hole (b) and Jonas Howden Sj¿vaag (d). The music, all composed by Seglem is soothing with darker tone. This is keeping with the Norwegian tradition for jazz and in this case it is based on Norwegian folk music. The results are easy to appreciate and a different twist from American based jazz. The recording quality is excellent.
