O’s Notes: Malcolm plays a wide assortment of keyboards, sings, and leads The Makeshift Dream Orchestra. By no means is this a second call group of musicians! They are funky, well knit and maintain a groove that will have you dancing or at least patting your feet. They harmonized vocals are reminiscent of the old school contemporary jazz a la Michael Franks or Steely Dan. Hunter wrote and arranged most of the music and he strikes a solid chord with the appropriately titled Nostalgia in My Square Head.
