O’s Notes: The trio is Bruno Rousselet (b), Philippe Soirat (d) and pianist Gordon Beck. This live session was captured July 2003 in Cumbria, England. The music is lively with excellent pace thanks to the dexterity of Beck. His fingers dash across the keys generating a lot of passion. There are nine songs including our favorite “Not The Last Waltz” with sharp backbeats. The dynamics are faithfully reproduced especially the drums. This differentiating dimension adds to the appreciation of a fine session.
