O’s Notes: Trumpeter, Kenny Wheeler leads a large ensemble through four suites, three self penned and one written by pianist John Taylor. Norma Winstone injects tasty jazz vocals to accent the music. The sound is full with rich brass, no strings. Each piece tells a story. It’s a great listening CD to experience the pleasure of a large jazz band.
