O’s Notes: Curtis Stewart plays violin and composed the original music and poetry while arranging the entire project Of Colors. It is a sea of emotions both up and down. The landscape is far-reaching and spacey on songs like “Solo Violin Sonata in G” a prime example of Stewart’s musical depiction of color. That contrasts with his urban-infused interpretation of “Giant Steps”. His work spans twenty-three tracks each expressed in minimalist form with rich texture and warmth.
