O’s Notes: Guitarist Jakob Bro and saxophonist Joe Lovano pay homage to the late fusion drummer, Paul Motian on Once Around the Room. The drummers are Joey Baron and Jorge Rossy while bass duties are split between Larry Grenadier, Thomas Morgan and Anders Christensen. It is a rather dark, melancholic, 39-minute session that is rather intoxicating.
