O’s Notes: Vocalist Robin Bessier composed arranged and produced the music on Open Road. While she’s in the drivers seat composing music and lyrics for most of the ride, the music on three of the thirteen selections was written by pianist George Radebaugh. Guitarist Milo Petersen makes a notable appearance as well. The bossa nova rhythms and Robin’s relaxed recipes make this a warm set. Highlights are “River”, “Sambarron” and “Renewed” showcasing Bessier’s strong warm vocals.
