O’s Notes: French pianist Grégory Ott performs a solo musical interpretation of Wim Wenders’ film Der Himmel über Berlin (Wings of Desire) on Parabole. It is a series of short and reflective ballads; the longest track is 4 minutes and the shortest is 1 minute 15 seconds. We enjoyed the ragtime groove on “Perpetual Blues”. There are a few unusual titles such as, God has disappeared” and “ Lost circus” that left us wondering. No doubt, we’d benefit from viewing the film!
