O’s Notes: Pianist Lisa Hilton is adept at playing many jazz genres and Paradise Cove is a fine example of that. She is accompanied by bassist Luques Curtis, drummer Obed Calvaire and trumpeter Igmar Thomas who captures the spotlight on “Birk’s Works” and several other selections. We liked the vamp on “Night Cap A Little Chaos”, “Mercurial Moments”, and the solitude of ”Another Simple Sunday With You”. Frankly, we enjoyed the entire session.
