O’s Notes: Susie’s voice is soft and soothing. Her reworking of these jazz standards is special. She’s joined by guitarist Jordan Officer who complements all her moves. There’s a touch of bluegrass that surfaces most prominently on “Jordan’s Boogie”. The balance of the band is bassist Solon McDade and Michael Jerome Browne on acoustic guitar. The album is dedicated to the late pianist, Ralph Sutton who also makes a guest appearance, which turned out to be his last recording. Sit in front of the fire, cuddle, and relax with this comforting set.
