O’s Notes: Gloria Reuben has the ability to inject her heart and soul into the music as she does so eloquently on “Save Your Love For Me”. Her voice is soft, warm and inviting and in concert with her accompaniment. This is especially true on “Poor Girl” & “Pure Imagination” with guitarist/producer Marty Ashby shadowing passionately. Jay Ashby (tb, perc) steps up on “Close Enough For Love”. Alton Merrill (p), Tony DePaolis (b) and Thomas Wendt (d) provide a solid foundation and as always the recording quality of MCG releases is excellent. Perchance to Dream is a winner for Gloria and her audience!
