O’s Notes: Free style vocalist Andreas Schaerer teams up with the ARTE (saxophone) Quartet and bassist Wolfgang Zwiauer for Perpetual Delirium. They combine contemporary classical music with loosely structured jazz and a subtle funky groove. Andreas incorporates chants, seats, rap and vocalization of many instrument into his unique style. It marries well with the sax team as well a with Zwiauer’s contemporary swing. This is an ambitious effort that is worth consideration for open minded, inquisitive listeners.
