O’s Notes: Jan projects her voice front and center. Her tone is slightly nasal but accurate. The set is truly in the spirit of a Piano Bar After Hours though Shapiro shares her stage with four different pianists. The music is a rich variety of covers from old and new songbooks with a little something for everyone. Our favorite is “Tell Me” with vocal drums by Bob Soloff, Joey Blake on vocal bass and Adriana Balic plating piano.
