O’s Notes: There are nearly seventy minutes of solo piano here. Bollani takes his time allowing listeners to embellish all of the notes and also establishing the mood. The program starts out with soothing, relaxed tunes on the first six tracks. Then he accelerates a bit on “Inpro III” and bounces along nicely on “Buzzillare” before the ragtime beats of “Maple Leaf Rag”. It is an enjoyable session, especially for piano lovers. It can be enjoyable listening in selective situations and delightfully so.
