O’s Notes: Errol plays vibes, marimba and tupan leading a sextet that includes premier guitarist and fellow Bulgarian Hristo Vitchev. “Jumble”, the title track and “Folk Dance” have a slight klezmer bent while most of the rest of Rackipov’s originals have a cool Modern Jazz/Fusion character. Lubomir Gospodinov, the other Bulgaian in the band, does a fine job with the melodies especially on “Dill Man” and “Wild River”. We found Pictures From A Train Window to be a rewarding listening experience with many perspectives.
