O’s Notes: Bobby is a musician’s musician. When he takes his seat in the band as a guitarist, it makes the music flow easier for everyone! As a solo artist, he has done covers of many artists, putting his spin on proven compositions. He is focused on Monk in this trio with bassist Dennis Carroll and drummer Kobie Watkins. We liked his work on “In Walked Bud”, “Bemsha Swing” and “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes”. There is nothing spectacular but after listening you want to play it one more time patting your feet!
