O’s Notes: The Zoo Too Trio is Michael Cain (p), Keith Price (g), and Pheeroan Aklaff (d). Poetry Legroom is their debut album, replete with mystery and adventure. The music is mostly laid-back, melancholic and thought-provoking. Among the best were “Solodos” featuring Cain, and “Waxing Gibbous” with spoken word by Aklaff and nice work on guitar from Price.
