Nick’s quartet includes Michael Rodriguez (t, flugelhorn), Jakob Dreyer (b) and Josh Roberts (d). The music is insightful and more than expected for a sophomore effort. The feeling is mellow with rich melodies from both Vardanega and Rodriguez.
