O’s Notes: Canadian guitarist Mike Clement is living in the Crescent City where he leads a core organ trio with Tris Duncan on the B3 and Gerald Watkins Jr. on drums. He adds brass on several tracks as well. The guitarist shines on “Bohol”, chilling on “Instadaddy” with Connor Stewart (a-sax), blazing on “Don’t Be Sus” with Miles Berry (t-sax), cooking on ”Surreal McCoy”, and bopping on “Blues For Leroy” with Leroy Jones (t). This is a hot set.
