O’s Notes: Brazilian guitarist Eduardo Mercuri is both well educated and highly skilled as a performer now living and performing across the US. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Faculdades de Artes do Paraná in Brazil and a master’s degree from Berklee in Boston. He has performed with countless jazz headliners as well as leading his own bands.“Prelude to a Kiss“showcases Mercuri in a trio with bassist Hayden Farrah and Patrick Simard on drums. Among the best in this peaceful set are “Inner Urge” featuring guest Gustavo D’Amico (sax) shadowing Mercuri’s melodies, and “Misty”.
