O’s Notes: Preludes and Songs is a duo performance featuring violinist Dominique Pifarély and pianist François Couturier. These French musicians have decades of experience playing together and it is apparent. They present many moods: suspense on “Les hombres I“, and the meandering verses of “Vague” & “What Us”. Our favorite is the concluding, recognizable tale of “I Loves You Porgy”.
