O’s Notes: This music has that cool swing element. Stan (p), Ray Drummond (b) and Kenny Washington (d) are a well-knit trio playing music that feels as good as the title suggests from start to finish. Guest artist, Houston Person is blowing warmth into his tenor sax that will heat up your spirits like the sizzling heat from your fireplace. Check out “Then I’ll Be Tired Of You” for an example. “I’m Afraid The Masquerade Is Over” is an example of the swinging bubbly spirit that makes Put On A Happy Face a winning set.
