O’s Notes: Quenara is a duo featuring pianist Robert Prester and singer Adriana Samargia. They present unique arrangements of eight standards, along with four Prester originals. The duo sounds very much like they are on a cabaret set. Adriana’s lyrics are full of passionate inflections while Robert’s work on the keyboard is just enough accompaniment. They are amazing together, presenting a warm, engaging sound. Highlights are “Stolen Moments”, “Sophisticated Lady”, with Adriana soaring on “You’re Everything” & “Lover Man”.
