O’s Notes: This is the classic cool quartet led by guitarist Dom Minasi with Mark Whitecage (sax), Kyle Koehler (organ) and John Bollinger on drums. It’s cool fusion with a team that can light it up at any moment and they do! Minasi wrote most of the music, a nice variety of expressions. Dom shows his cooler side on “I Who Have Nothing”, playing octaves like Wes Montgomery! But the best tracks are the cookers like “Into The Night” and “Quick Response”.
