O’s Notes: Guitarist, arranger and producer Ronnie Ray Padilla is the mastermind behind Raydience, a collection of ten original compositions. He also sings on several tracks notably “You Are My Rainbow”. This is world jazz-fusion with a natural groove that is well recorded. We enjoyed the variety of the selections including “Angelica”, the South African vibe of “Zambula” and the mild funk of “My Brother, My Brother” with a strong lead line from Paul Hasson on the bassoon. There is a mellow feeling that is carried through all of the selections making this as radiant as the title suggests!
