O’s Notes: Cheryl Bentyne is one of the magical voices of Manhattan Transfer and quite the solo artist as well!“Rearrangements“of Shadows“is a collection of music by Stephen Sondheim, a famous songwriter for theater. The challenge here is making the music come alive without the stage performance and Bentyne and the strong cast of musicians pull it off. Cheryl puts her heart and soul into it as do the accompaniment. “The Ladies Who Lunch” (both takes) and “Send In The Clowns” are highlights.
