O’s Notes: Guitarist Paul Renz assembles a quintet with Anders Bostrom (fl), Nathan Fryett (d), Eric Graham (b) and Brian Ziemniak (p, B3). They play a blend of fusion and bebop that is fresh with an element of Blue-cool courtesy of the Hammond B3. Bostrom’s flute is also a nice touch. “Avo’s Hat” and “Dish It Up”, two upbeat numbers are among the best.
