O’s Notes: Guitarists/composers Oz Noy and Andrew Synowiec unite, wielding a Les Paul and a Stratocaster for Recreational Substance. The duo is accompanied by bassist Hadrian Feraud and drummer Marvin “Smitty” Smith. They play a blend of rock, funk and jazz-fusion. We were fueled by the energy of “I Don’t Know Why”, the funky “Burn That Bridge”, and the rocking “Knuckle Shuffle”. The best of the rest are “The Royal You”, a chiller, and “101 Blues”.
