O’s Notes: Marilyn draws upon her heritage to bring us a rich blend of world jazz fusion that is quite unique and worth a listen. The mood on Rerooting is adventurous and stoked with creative improvisation featuring Mazur’s work on percussion. Josefine Cronholm is the primary vocalist supported by the rest of the band. Don’t get spooked by “The Birds Are Early Out” before the beautiful “Colored Minds”. Other highlights include the title track, the earthy “Circular Chant”, and “Shadow Tune”.
