O’s Notes: Resonance“is the debut recording for Tampa-based drummer Dave Rudolph. He forms a quintet with Larue Nickelson (g), Zach Bornheimer (t-sax), Pablo Arencibia (p) and Alejandro Arenas (b). They ignite an energetic groove that is weaved into the entire session. We enjoyed “The Vine”, “Bounce”, “Atonement”, “Night Squirrel” and the title track featuring Nickelson and guest vocalist Whitney James. Rudolph is off to a great start!
