O’s Notes: Saxophonist, flautist, composer Carl Clements is backed by the Real Jazz Trio for Retrospective. Bassist Johannes Schaedlich and pianist Jean-Yves Jung serve up fine solos on “Almodovar” behind Clements on flute. Drummer Jens Biehl is there with accents when needed, otherwise keeping the pace. They continue with that peaceful vibe on “Procession”. Carl switches to sax to warm up the set on “Remnants”. There are nine varied originals that make a good listening session.
