O’s Notes: One of the most explosive female musicians is drummer/percussionist Billie Davies.  Retrospectives is a collection of relaxed, mostly improvisational, instrumental songs recorded from 2012 – 2018 but released for the first time here. Highlights are “Art” featuring spoken word by Allie Porter. We also liked the swing of “An Improvisation”, “Improvisationality”, and “Sunraaah” featuring Daniel Coffeng (g), Tom Bone Ralls (tb), and Jacob Bartfield (b).
