O’s Notes: This is a live recording of Special EFX early in their career, Return To Budapest With Love combines analog recordings from performances at the Petőfi Csarnok on 12/11/1990 and 2/12/1992. The late Hungarians, George Jinda (perc), and Béla Szakcsi Lakatos (keyboards), Gerald Veasley (b), and Lionel Cordew (d) joined Chieli Minucci (g) for these sessions. The music was performed in front of an appreciative audience and includes some of the classic songs from their GRP recordings. The heart and soul of Special EFX was Jinda and Minucci. Chieli has kept the band relevant hanging with the times and incorporating fresh talent. It great to enjoy some of the original groove here!
