O’s Notes: Fay sings with a rhythm that blends into the music accompaniment. It just feels good, well integrated and inspiring. She opens singing and scatting on “Con Alma”. It has a Latin fusion feel with Mike Stern (g) and Joe Locke (vibes) featured. The same cast strikes gold again on “Peace On Earth” including some funky bass lines from Boris Koslov who also shines on “Wild Is Love”. Joe Locke is an excellent complement on vibes and marimba for most of the ten tracks. Along with all of the talented instrumentalists, you will be impressed by the mellow tone of Claassen’s voice, a beautiful instrument itself.
