O’s Notes: Australian bassist Christopher Hale is a highly regarded jazz musician. His latest release, Ritual Diamonds is focused on Korean ritual drumming blended with jazz-fusion. His band is mostly Australians along with Korean drummer/percussionist Minyoung Woo. We liked the exotic vibe of “Ch’il Ch’ae”, dedicated to master drummer Kim Juhong., “Flamenco”, the mysterious “Radio Mori”, and the title track for the great shaman drummer Kim Junghee.
