O’s Notes: Ron plays guitar leading a trio with Marty Ballou (b) and Arti Dixson (d). The music is a variety of Spanish, Brazilian and jazz compositions. Murray was trained in Spanish classical guitar and has continued his education learning from some of the masters as well as in Spain. Ron’s father, Ronald makes his debut on harmonica warming up “Corcovado” and “Vivo Sonhando”. Mike Ciulla (in Portugese) and John Scott (English) add vocals on these two songs as well. The balance is a showcase for Murray who dazzles us with his work. Two of the ten songs are originals, the best of which is “Brazilian Flower”. This is a well balanced set.
