O’s Notes: Bassist Tim Carey composed and arranged all ten tunes on Room 114, a collection of contemporary jazz-fusion tunes that is fresh, happy music. In addition to anchoring the beats, Carey takes the lead line from time to time notably on “Frog Dance”. Brendan Odonnell shares melodic duties on guitar with pianist Eric Verlinde, Jeff “Bongo” Busch (d, perc) and Tarik Abouzied (d) rounding out the band. There is a lot of variety here with lots to enjoy as this team is tight!
