O’s Notes: Monsieur Dubois is the band, six musicians pumping club beats with catchy riffs and mild improvisation. Their classification is ‘danceable hard jazz’. The pace is not always break neck. Most tracks are like “Bowlin'” with a cooler relaxed pace including harmonized sax/trumpet melodies. It is catchy music that can grab you with its cool funk on “Monsieur Dubois s’Amuse” or put you on the floor with the mild calypso of “Dreaming” or “Rue Danemark”.
