O’s Notes: Glenn (sax) leads a quintet with Jamie Baum (fl). Gary Wang (b), Roberta Piket (p) and Jeff Hirshfield (d). They swing through six of White’s compositions plus one from Baum. We liked Baum’s work on flute highlighted by the relaxing “Wish” and “Spilt Infinity” layered nicely with Glenn’s sax. The band is very tight on beats and tones! This is modern jazz/fusion done well. It will appeal to a wide audience.
