O’s Notes: Seldom In The Well“is a peaceful endeavor. After the first track “Where The Leaf Has Been”, we were inspired to take a two-mile walk. 4-plus miles later we were relaxed and in a great mood, ready to take on the day. (And we passed thousands of leaves). The musicians are Kelly Jefferson (sax), Kevin Turcotte (t), Anthony Panacci (p), Artie Roth (b), Tom Rasky (d) and leader Chris Monson (g). This is a good recording and a satisfying debut for Monson.
