O’s Notes: Adam plays trumpet and Zack plays drums. They are the young sons of world-renowned pianist and composer Arturo O’Farrill. The genetic connection is strong as Adam composed six of the nine selections here. The brothers team up with friends who are equally good musicians to embark upon a syncopated collection of new music. It is crisp, rich and energetic. Perhaps this is the start of a legacy but certainly a strong beginning.
