O’s Notes: Marie’s voice is rich and packed with expression. She breathes life into her songs making the listener feel the mood. She wrote ten of the eleven songs – ballads and blues done well. The band is strong notably Takana Miyamoto on piano. We liked “Red Shoes”, “The South Is Mine” and “Pause” featuring Jeremy Pelt on trumpet. There is also a jazzy cover of the Beatles “Hard Day’s Night”. You’ll enjoy it!
