O’s Notes: This CD contains five tracks that were inspired by Miles Davis’ fusion years. Stryker’s originals capture the feel and even freshen it. He is joined by seasoned sidemen such as Larry Goldings on keyboards. Dave (g) gives each of the musicians ample opportunities to express themselves with solos on top of a steady groove. They play electric, blue, and cool fusion jazz. Our favorite is the bluesy fusion of “Cobalt”.
