O’s Notes: This studio session was recorded late in 1990 in New York. Cassandra mixes Earthy scats in with the lyrics for a warm presentation of seven songs including three originals. Rod Williams (p), Kevin Bruce Harris, Herman Fowlkes or Reggie Washington (b), Tani Tabbal or Mark Johnson (d) and Jean-Paul Bourelly (g) back her up. They swing nicely especially on tunes like “Angel” and “Body and Soul”. It’s another strong chapter for the Wilson archives.
