O’s Notes: The late Nancy LaMott was a beautiful woman, an optimist and seemingly one of the happiest people on the planet. We lost her prematurely to cancer in 1996 but not before she made an indelible mark as an artist. LaMott was a great cabaret singer and entertainer who was I high demand during her prime. Producer David Friedman captured volumes of material on tape, much of which was never released. A lot was recorded live on cassettes, not up to today’s digital audio quality but the performances are top not. Friedman is committed to releasing this music as the Collector’s Series. Volume 1 features Nancy Sing(ING) David Zippel. It is as entertaining now as it was when recorded! Fans can rest assured that there is more to come!
