O’s Notes: Michael (trumpet, vocals, guitar) and Jon Herington (guitar) were both a part of the 2000 Steely Dan tour. One day on the tour bus, they found themselves relaxing to a cooler side, playing older jazz tunes as a duo, and the foundation for Slow was born. It’s a peaceful set of fifteen very mellow takes including originals intertwined with Monk, Mancini, Ellington, Miles, Eddie Lobo and a few others. It’s got nice variety and great balance, a perfect album to set a relaxing mood.
