O’s Notes: We’ve always enjoyed Schuur’s lovely voice and are happy to report that our passion persists on Some Other Time, her latest release. Her articulation is crisp even when she adds large doses of emotion on “I’ve Got Beginners Luck”. Diane doesn’t stop there with stirring renditions of “My Favorite Things” and “Taking A Chance On Love”. The band is very strong with Don Balmer (g), Scott Steed (b), Reggie Jackson (d) and Randy Porter (p expect on 3 tracks where Diane plays!). This is once again a very entertaining session.
