O’s Notes: Greg Cagle (g, vocals) and Rick Nash (t) lead the charge on these eleven new contemporary vocal tracks. The songs are all new but they have a retro 1970s soul feeling with a touch of doo-wop and good background harmony accented by brass accents with a solid bass line from Joe Miers. Robyn Springer joins Cagle singing lead vocals on “Anyway You Wanna Go” and provides strong harmony as a backup elsewhere. This is a solid session with meaningful lyrics and music that sticks to your ribs. It is a new taste an old formula that works well. This team based in Charlotte, NC is worth listening to.
