O’s Notes: The combination of this trio is magic. Enrico plays the piano with just the right amount of dynamics. Bassist Charlie Haden adds warm clear deep notes along with well-articulated solos and the drummer goes beyond keeping the beat. Paul Motian’s selection of sticks or brushes is always correct and collectively they jell! Listen to all of the subtleties in “You’ve Changed” and you’ll hear good romancing music vs. just another cover. Yes, this is a keeper, beautiful music, the right ingredient for background or listening pleasure.
